GYSTiq was built on a simple belief: the hardest problems in an operation aren't solved by more software. They're solved by people who understand the operation, guiding the technology that runs it.

Our story

Most organizations don't have a technology problem. They have a connection problem. They've bought capable tools, one after another, and still can't get a clear picture of how their own operation runs. The data exists, scattered across systems that don't talk, and the people who could act on it spend their days stitching it together by hand.

We started GYSTiq because that gap, between the tools an organization owns and the clarity it actually needs, keeps widening, and no one was closing it from the operation's side. Software vendors sell the tool and move on. Automation shops build before they understand. We wanted to sit where the work actually happens, with the people running the operation, translating their goals into systems built around how they truly work.

That's the whole idea. Understand the operation first. Then build.

Human-guided, always. Technology is only as good as the understanding behind it. We put people who know your operation between you and the tools, so the technology serves the work instead of dictating it.

Tailored, not one-size-fits-all. Your operation isn't generic, and the systems running it shouldn't be. We build around how you actually work, not how a product assumes you do.

Capacity gained, not people replaced. We take the busywork off your team so their time goes to the work that needs them. The goal is a more capable operation, not a smaller one.

How we're different

Most software hands you a tool and wishes you luck. Most automation vendors start building before anyone understands the work. We do neither.

Real consultation sits at the front of everything we do, and stays there throughout. Before we build anything, we sit with the people running the operation to understand how it actually works, what constrains it, and what matters most. Human understanding shapes technology, not the other way around.

Kerry Mitchell

CEO

Kerry has spent more than 30 years helping leaders bring clarity to complex organizations. A trusted advisor to CEOs, CFOs, and General Counsels across the private, public, nonprofit, and government sectors, she built her career turning human capital from a cost center into a genuine competitive advantage, designing the leadership, culture, and infrastructure that make growth sustainable. Founder of Kairos HR Consulting, she brings that same instinct to GYSTiq: see the whole of an organization, cut through the complexity, and build what actually helps it run better. As CEO, she sets the direction and keeps the work anchored to the people it serves.

Zehn Baskerville, PMP

COO

Zehn is a multi-award-winning product developer and certified Project Management Professional (PMP) whose career has centered on Build as a Service (BaaS): stepping into organizations to build their products, then hiring, training, and building the teams to run them. That model is exactly what startups and mission-driven organizations lean on when they face executive-level demands but can't yet staff for them. Along the way, he has helped grow some of the fastest-growing companies in North America. As COO, he leads operations and builds the delivery model that enables GYSTiq to execute consistently on every client engagement.

Brian Mitchell

CTO

Brian has spent more than two decades architecting the systems that keep complex operations running: development, content management, hosting, and the infrastructure that holds up at scale. Founder and President of interGen web solutions for over twenty years, he has delivered custom development and digital infrastructure for businesses, highly regulated public agencies, and municipalities nationwide. A recognized open-source leader and international speaker, he previously served as President of the Board of Directors for Open Source Matters. As CTO, he leads engineering and product, turning the operating layer from a plan into working systems and making sure what GYSTiq builds is sound, secure, and built to last.
